I think you wrote this just for me! I got back from three weeks of traveling in India. All I can say is, WOW, what a gift to have brought PHOSIS along on my journey - LUMINOUS and CALM, which I mixed together and applied 2-3x daily. And let me just say this. Amid 90-degree heat, pollution, humidity, sweat, stress, perimenopause, and everything else, I looked like I just had a facial. Swear it! One woman commented that I looked "glowy," which, at 49 years young, had me feeling like I just won the Lotto!
Oh thank you for your kind words! I'm thrilled to hear the products worked so well for you on your trip. Hope it was a life changing trip (visiting India was for me) and delighted to know the products ensured your face was facial-fresh and glowy despite the conditions!
Finally got to this one in my inbox. I'm not in a travel season but I feel like I went somewhere on Halloween (we go big in our house so it feels like a trip) so I thought, maybe it'll apply. You mentioned Glo yoga so I had to make a plug for Jason Crandell. He's my mentor and husband to Andrea Ferretti who is the meditation teacher I mention in my next post. Also, Tias Little's yoga nidras on Glo are pretty sweet! I actually prefer cold to hot even though everyone these days is saying hot is what we should do at our age. The feeling after cold is pretty special for me. Thanks for the liver reminders. I too barely drink anymore. Just not worth it.
I love Jason Crandell! He's an amazing teacher so that says a ton about your training. Several of my saved classes in Glo are taught by him. I follow Andrea's Substack, but am less familiar with her work. And I've not tried Tia's yoga nidra but adding that to my queue - thank you for the tip. Do you do a cold plunge for cold? Icy shower? I know it can be brisk and enlivening; but I still find it daunting. Hope we get to see pics of your Halloween decorations at some point ☺️ 🎃
I'm hijacking this post (sorry!) to tell you I loved your IG video where you put on your face oil. Wow, that looks lovely. I just rub my serum in with heavy hands without much thought or making it a real beautiful self-care moment. I can learn a thing or two from you. I would have commented there to tell you, but every time I try to leave a comment I get booted out {insert eyes rolling}. As a fellow curly girl, anything you can recommend for curly hair? I have moisturizing products, but need some sort of deep mask as a weekly treatment. Subscribing so I won't miss a beat from you.
Thank you for your kind words about Phosis and apologies I didn't see this comment sooner. Love your gorgeous curly hair and your work on The Periprofessional — I wholeheartedly recommend to readers! I wrote a substack a while back on my favorites for curly hair, I'd love to know what you think. Link here: https://phosis.substack.com/p/curly-confidence

Thanks, Susan! No worries on the delay. Life gets busy and sometimes we miss things. Heading over to the article now.
