I now live in LA where the focus on thinness, face sculpting, Botox -- for younger women and even worse for aging women has struck me since I moved here. I don't fully understand this and am not movie star who maybe needs to retain a youthful face.

I'm going to look at all your tips and am now subscribed, not only because you read me--and, wow, what a reader you are, but because I'm now entranced by you approach to aging--and then there's the launch of your company: Congrats, lovely.

Thank you, Mary! Delighted to have you join our community! Aging is not about getting younger - could anything be more opposite or impossible? As if life doesn't have enough challenges as it stands, why are women supposed to chase the impossible in trying to appear younger? I keep saying this, but our worth is not connected to how many wrinkles we don't have or what size our bodies are. Let's keep reminding and supporting each other in ways that honor the changes our bodies go through.

So much interesting context here! The rivalry between Rubenstein and Arden reads like something out of The Gilded Age! Also love the roundup of products included here--not only are they lovely finds, it's a great way to begin a business--celebrating your fellow colleagues and founders in the space!

Thank you Alisa! I believe there is room for all of us especially as rivalries inspire fear and inadequacy. I'd rather keep supporting women instead - even the ones in the same field!
